Not saying we shouldn't make a statement - but didn't want people to think this amount was from their main website. Also, if you go to that website (http://www.thedccenter.org/shop.html). , there are other national companies that are doing this as well. I guess they're just choosing Wal-Mart to make a statement? Just my two centes.

Joyce BAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22157774.post-1163340954141751142006-11-12T08:15:00.000-06:002006-11-12T08:15:00.000-06:00I was tossing this issue around a few days ago won...I was tossing this issue around a few days ago wondering how I can break my addiction to cheap dairy items when it suddenly hit me...We have a Cosco too. I have never been in but that will be my new membership this year.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22157774.post-1163112212214782982006-11-09T16:43:00.000-06:002006-11-09T16:43:00.000-06:00Yes, "my" Sam's is just across the highway from Co...Yes, "my" Sam's is just across the highway from Costco. I even had a membership at one time, which I've just renewed. Thakns for the reminder. I was feeling a bit desperate. we are dairy addicts around here!

I've had friends who wouldn't shop at wal-mart for years and I've made merciless fun of them for being snobs, but now I've joined the party. They finally hit my breaking point.Chaos-Jamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17643470959118675651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22157774.post-1163100184011939182006-11-09T13:23:00.000-06:002006-11-09T13:23:00.000-06:00Oh my! I have done most of my grocery shopping there for quite some time...but I think I need to start seriously looking for alternatives. I checked Snopes.com, just to get some background info, and they confirmed Walmart's partnership with the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
As for the Sam's dilemma - COSTCO!!!! - they are awesome! I don't know where you are in the Metro area, but I know there's one in Overland Park. They treat their employees much better than Walmart does, their stuff is better, and they aren't part of the NGLCC!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07158631081390497739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22157774.post-1163094684918399352006-11-09T11:51:00.000-06:002006-11-09T11:51:00.000-06:00That was exactly my thought when I read the email....That was exactly my thought when I read the email. There are SO MANY MORE WORTHY causes that the Gay cause. STARVING children, homeless families, diseases looking for cures. BUT NO, they have to use OUR MONEY to push a political agenda. Walmart doesn't employ union members - instead they use the money they save in salaries to further liberal agendas this way.
SHAME!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
