Whining

I now know how children intuitively know how to whine at just the right pitch.

"Char-mi-i-i-i-i-i-i-ing, reeeeeeeeeeeally? You haaaaaaaave to get up at fiiiiiiiiiive- fifteeeeeeeeeen?"

It's not intuitive at all.
