"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only forgotten son..."
That's what you get when you mix the ICV with King James. All those years memorizing and what do I have to show for it, but confused children. Here I thought I knew that one.

Our "version" was "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only forgotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have ever-resting life".
The "forgotten" I understand. What kid hears "begotten" on a daily basis? So they just assume it's a word they've heard. But "ever-resting"? That's not even a word (is it?)!
