A Quote

"You fail only if you stop writing." Ray Bradbury author of Fahrenheit 451

For my writing friends out there seeking the illusive contract. Elusive contract. Allusive contract.

One of the many reasons mine is still elusive.

I hear ya, honey! I'm trying to come up with another idea for a novel so the rejection letters that I'm convinced are imminent won't sting so badly. I need to dive into another fictional world!

Being a writer can be heartbreaking. I've had a hard time concentrating on book #3 because of wondering if anybody is ever going to appreciate and/or publish book #2. The rejections have gotten me down, and now I'm thinking too much about the contests I DID enter. The life of a writer can be painful. I had to put book #1 out of my mind completely, stop trying to get it published, so I could write something new.
