Thank goodness the first day of school is always way better than the days leading up to it. Yes, I bawled all over everything this morning. I tried really hard to keep Frodo from seeing it, but I did lose it a time or two.
And then I left.
Now I want to skip through the aisles at Staples. (Many thanks to Meg for finding and posting because I still can't seem to do so.)

Did you notice how Pastor P told the kids to "wave at your parents so that they won't be sad you're leaving" and then looked at me out of the corner of his eye?
Geez. One complete meltdown (TWO whole years ago) and I'm pegged with the "unpredictable mom"-tag.
I noticed you gently wiping away tears (then I quickly looked away for fear that the sight of YOUR tears would make ME cry, although I did wear waterproof mascara just in case). Definitely not the "ugly cry".
Thanks for the Staples link! That song now has a whole new meaning. It kind of makes me excited about the start of school. After a few weeks, we will be thrilled and have NO IDEA how we ever got anything done with all of the kids at home. It just might be time to start the whole freezer cooking thing again :0)
Opps, that was Mrs. Nurse Boy...
But, I am sure you knew that since he doesn't even know what freezer cooking is, or where the freezer is even located!
